1. Isaiah 43:19 NLT

1. Isaiah 43:19 NLT

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”

Something new. How many of us would welcome something new in 2026? A financial windfall, a clear health diagnosis, a renewed relationship…we are all in need of God’s favor in some area of life. Amen?

Lord, I am watching and waiting for the “something new” You’re about to do. Thank You ahead of time. Please prepare me to walk on the path that opens before me, according to Your will. In Jesus’ name, amen.

2. Ephesians 4:22-24

2. Ephesians 4:22-24

“You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”

Attitude. Oh, how we need a change of attitude! On social media, at our workplace, in our marriages…what a difference a graceful attitude could make!

Lord, please change my negativity into joyful praise. Thank You that I am created in Your image, in all righteousness and holiness. Help me step into this new attitude in 2026. In Jesus’ name, amen.

3. 2 Corinthians 5:17

3. 2 Corinthians 5:17

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

In Christ. That’s key, isn't it? To remain in Christ so that everything we think, do, and say brings glory to Him. This new way of living is available to us right now. Embrace the new while letting the old fade away.

Lord, I have been made new by the blood of the Lamb. The old is gone! I believe it and declare it today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

4. John 13:34-35

4. John 13:34-35

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Love one another. It sounds simple, but can be so difficult. Yet, when we focus on Jesus’ love for us - humbly, gratefully - we will be more than eager to show His love to others.

Lord, I want everyone to know that I am a follower of You. Therefore, I need Your great love to fill me to the full. I purpose to make 2026 a year of deep, intentional love for people. In Jesus’ name, amen.

5. Colossians 3:16-17 NKJV

5. Colossians 3:16-17 NKJV

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

In all wisdom. The Word of God provides the wisdom we need to speak and act appropriately. When we let the Scriptures dwell in us richly (abundantly), we’re better able to interact with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Lord, as I meditate on Your Word, I receive all the wisdom You have for me. And with Your wisdom, I purpose to live for Your glory and Your name. Thank You for all You’ve done and all You’ll do in the New Year. In Jesus’ name, amen.

6. Psalm 40:3

6. Psalm 40:3

“He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.”

A new song. When was the last time you sang something new to God, pouring out your heart to Him? It doesn’t matter if you have a singing voice or not, He loves to hear you praise His name!

Lord, today I set aside every distraction and worship You in Spirit and in truth. Thank You for the new song You’ve placed in my mouth, a hymn of praise to the God of my salvation. In Jesus’ name, amen.

7. Psalm 100:4-5

7. Psalm 100:4-5

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.”

All generations. I love how God is faithful from beginning to end. It gives us such hope for the future, doesn’t it? Let Psalm 100:4-5 renew your hope as you enter His courts with praise.

Lord, Your faithfulness is a constant reminder that You have everything under control. I don’t have to worry about the future. I can enter Your courts with gladness, knowing You hold all things in Your loving hands. In Jesus’ name, amen.

8. Proverbs 23:18 AMP

8. Proverbs 23:18 AMP

“Surely there is a future [and a reward], and your hope and expectation will not be cut off.”

There is a future. Though the world seems to be growing darker by the day, the light of Jesus will outshine every dark shadow. Keep your sights on Him in 2026, and your expectation will not be cut off.

Lord, Your Word tells me to fix my gaze on heaven, not on earth. (Colossians 3:2) Please be the lifter of my gaze! My hope and expectation are in You alone. In Jesus’ name, amen.

9. 1 Chronicles 16:8-11

9. 1 Chronicles 16:8-11

“Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.”

Seek His face always. I love the imagery of seeking God’s face. Of looking into His loving eyes and seeing His warm smile. What a wonderful way to step into the New Year, seeking the Lord and proclaiming His name.

Lord, my heart seeks You above all else. Oh, how I need Your strength in the year ahead. Propel me forward as I tell of Your wonderful works. You are the joy of my heart. In Jesus’ name, amen.

10. Psalm 20:4

10. Psalm 20:4

“May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed.”

All your plans. Every plan committed to Christ will succeed if it falls within His perfect will. We can trust Him to open the doors to greater things. And when He closes a door, it’s for our protection and guidance.

Lord, thank You for caring about me so much that You grant my heart’s desires. I commit my life to You and trust that every plan will come to fruition if it aligns with Your purpose. I surrender 2026 to You now, asking You to lead me by Your Word. In Jesus’ holy name, amen.
